Josiah Soren

Josiah Soren is the bandleader for an alternative jazz quintet featuring Dallas Dawson on drums, Marquinn Mason on saxophone, Jacob Hurlock on piano, and Chris Marks on electric guitar. Josiah Soren’s music is recommended if you like Yussef Dayes, Kamaal Williams, Nubya Garcia, Badbadnotgood, and Ezra Collective. In early 2024, Josiah Soren independently released his debut album SAMURAI, a collection of songs and stories from the underground Atlanta hip hop and jazz community.

Jaguar Glass

Jaguar Glass is a Psych-Pop outfit from Atlanta, bathing in shoegaze swirls and fuzzed out riffs. The band encapsulates the despair of youth with clever grooves and colorful textures. Inspired by artists like Radiohead, My Morning Jacket, and Japanese Breakfast. Jaguar Glass is Josiah Soren on bass, Tomas Uribe on guitar, Sophia Trautman on vocals/synths, & Ben McEntire on drums.

Soren x QUAS

Soren x QUAS is an electronic trio collaboration between Josiah Soren and QUAS - Dallas Dawson and Marquinn Mason. Their debut album, titled “ESQALATOR MUSIQ” will release sometime late 2026. The trio are largely influenced by the early Atlanta and Detroit house/Electronica scenes, drawing inspiration from the improvisation focused and electronic elements of artists like Larry Heard, Playin’ 4 The City, Moomin, Footshooter, and Kaidi Tatham.

Soren the Robot

Soren the Robot is the instrumental Hip Hop alter-ego of Josiah Soren with releases under the label’s Beat Tailors and Etymology Records! Check out albums like “Mind. Body. Soul.” and “Night Tapestry” for some smooth, classic 90’s inspired, sample-based Instrumental Hip Hop beats.

Josiah Soren & the Colorblind Pilots

JS & CBP is a rock/funk band featuring 15 performing musicians and is the culmination of a decade of musicianship from Josiah Soren and friends. Their debut album, titled “Colorblind Pilot", was released on Color Red Records in April of 2023. Colorblind Pilot is a story of Josiah's own journey into adulthood, and addresses themes like systemic racism, love, and mental health.

nowimalamp

nowimalamp is the lo-fi alter ego of Josiah Soren. The nowimalamp catalog features almost 100 lush, chill and sleepy lo-fi songs produced with care and love by Josiah Soren. Songs from the nowimalamp catalog have been featured on Spotify’s “Lush Lofi” editorial playlist and currently has an average of 50,000 Monthly listeners.

JAZZVILLAINY

JAZZVILLAINY is a collaborative project between Josiah Soren, keyboardist Jonah Pierre, guitarist Patrick Arthur, and drummer CJ Brinson. JAZZVILLAINY is a tribute project to the late and great MF DOOM. Recorded versions of classic MF DOOM songs from albums such as Madvillainy, Mm… Food, Operation: Doomsday, and Vaudeville Villain will be available soon!

Each chapter is, for the most part, a standalone article on that topic. And each module features topics that are in a similar category. This book contains niche ideas as well as general knowledge, and is based off of my years of experiences in the Music Industry.
